This blog is a chance for us to share together our news, thoughts and events with the community of Friends in the North East. Please treat this gathered space with the same spirit you would bring to Meeting.
If you want to add your voice please send a request to tim.crump@wildlight.co.uk I will send you an invite so you can log in as a contributor.
- You will receive an invitation by email.
- Please follow Step 1.
- When you’ve completed that you’ll be sent an activation message from WordPress – just follow the instructions. I find writing down the username, password and email I’ve used for sign up is very useful at this stage
- Then return to your original email from Quakers North East and click on Step 2 – ‘accept invitation’.
- You will then be sent further information.
- To blog simply click on ‘new post’ next to your name at the top right.
If you want to get superFriendly and have a little image of you at the base of the page – go to the dashboard then ‘your profile’ on right of page under ‘some useful resources’. On the profile page scroll down to ‘photos’ ‘add photo through gravatar’ will show you how to add an image of yourself.
Happy blogging!
More detail in case…
I’ll try to give some advice re logging in and attach some ‘screengrabs’ which show the sequence.
Google ‘wordpress log in’
A choice of sites will come up – go for this one
This takes you to this…
and log in using your username and password. If you’ve forgotten your password they will send another to your email.
Login will take you to a new page – it may be ‘blogs I follow’ or something else but at this stage paste the url (web address) https://quakernortheast.wordpress.com/ into the bar at the top of the page or into the url bar in the wordpress page where it asks you to put in the address.
When you get to the site go to ‘new post’ on the top right. Click on this it’ll take you to a panel where you can choose what to input text/ pics etc.
Type whatever you want and press publish – it should then appear on the site.
If it doesn’t you may just need to refresh by clicking the little arrow at the end of the url bar.
I hope this is helpful.
